Cornell University, B.S.; Brooklyn Law School, J.D. Prior to joining the law firm, Ms. Shaw worked for the Mayor’s Office of Labor Relations of the City of New York. She currently serves as chief negotiations spokesperson in numerous collective negotiations for school districts and municipalities, including a myriad of APPR negotiations. For more than a decade, Ms. Shaw has provided representation in labor arbitration proceedings, improper practice and representation proceedings at PERB, employee discipline matters and litigation. She also provides general counsel advice to clients on a regular basis on the many legal issues that arise in the educational setting, including student discipline, open meetings law, freedom of information law, student privacy and student health issues. Ms. Shaw lectures for the New York State School Boards Association, New York State Association of School Business Officials, New York State Association of School Attorneys, Westchester-Putnam School Boards Association and the Mid-Hudson School Study Council. Ms. Shaw serves as an Adjunct Professor to graduate students at Pace University where she instructs in Education Law and School Leadership. Ms. Shaw also currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New York State Association of School Attorneys. Ms. Shaw is admitted to the practice of law in New York State courts.
