Mr. Shaw is a founding partner in the law firm Shaw, Perelson, May & Lambert, LLP, and educated at Cornell University, B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations; and Albany Law School of Union University, J.D. Mr. Shaw is a Past President of the New York State Association of School Attorneys, Inc. He has served as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the State University of New York at New Paltz, instructing in School Law, School Finance Law and Labor Relations for Administrators. For more than 40 years, he has represented numerous Hudson Valley region school districts as General Counsel and Labor Relations Counsel. He has also represented several Hudson Valley Region municipalities as Labor Relations Counsel. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, including Charter Member of Labor Law Section, New York State Association of School Attorneys, National School Boards Association Council of School Attorneys and MASLA. He has lectured for the New York State School Boards Association, Labor Law Section of New York State Bar Association, New York State Association of School Attorneys, American Arbitration Association, New York State Association of School Business Officials, MASLA, Dutchess County School Boards Association, Orange County School Boards Association, Rockland County School Boards Association, Ulster County School Boards Association, Westchester-Putnam School Boards Association and the Mid-Hudson School Study Council. Mr. Shaw is admitted to the practice of law in New York State courts, the Federal District Courts for the Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts, the Second Circuit Federal Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
